We encourage every client to make a Will and to keep that Will up to date. In today’s society, where family structures are often complicated, the need is even greater. The Will maker or their partner may have children from more than one relationship and we can offer advice as to how to protect the interests of those concerned. Tax issues need also to be taken into account in order to protect the assets for the family.
Many people find making a Will is daunting and think that their circumstances are unique. They are but our experience over many years means that we can help you find a solution (usually a lot more easily than you think). Contact us for a discussion and find out that we really can help you.
You may also want to talk over with us your wish for a “Living Will” or Lasting Power of Attorney to provide directions for your finances and health issues if you become incapable of making that decision yourself.
We handle the administration of estates after a death and as with our other services, we will set out for you at the outset the way in which our charges are calculated. Our aim is always to deal with all matters sympathetically and efficiently.
If you would like us to draft your Will please click here to view our Will Questionnaire (pdf format) and email it to us or bring it with you at your first appointment. If you don’t understand any of the questions please contact Richard Engel, Ruth Fowler or Sam Scott.
