Irine Joseph
Assistant Solicitor
Irine Joseph joined Max Engel & Co in November 2024 as a Paralegal, contributing to the Commercial and Litigation teams. She works closely with Chloe May, Associate Solicitor and leader of the Dispute Resolution team, as well as with Managing Partner Helen Carville, assisting in a wide variety of matters.
Irine holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Northampton (2022) and completed her LLM at the University of Law, Birmingham (2024). She has successfully passed the SQE1 and SQE2. Irine qualified as a Solicitor on 9th January 2026.
Irine brings a wealth of experience from leading law firms, predominately working in Dispute Resolution/Commercial Litigation teams, focusing on Debt Recovery. Her key responsibilities have included: drafting letters before action with precision and clarity, issuing and managing claims on behalf of clients against debtors and handling both pre-legal and legal recovery work for a diverse client base. Additionally, Irine has experience managing asset-based lending, litigation, and recoveries work. Her experience across litigation and recoveries has equipped her with a deep understanding of commercial legal processes and strategic case management including claims and court procedures.
Irine is known for her meticulous attention to detail in drafting and legal research, and strong organisational abilities, managing complex caseloads efficiently. Irine is appreciated for her client-focused approach ensuring tailored solutions and excellent communication. Irine is eager to expand her legal expertise and contribute to team success.
